Yes, I'm complaining.
Coming here wasn’t so bad but now that the excitement of studying abroad has started to wear off I am really missing being back home. The weather sucks here! It constantly cold and is the windiest city I have ever been to. Needless to say my hair is always in knots! No idea why but leaving 90 degree weather to come to 45 degree weather worst decision ever! I hate the cold more than anyone I know. I have to force myself to get up every morning just because it is so cold! And now I have to come back home to winter. yay.
I definitely miss the internet! The internet here is about 10 years behind the States. You can actually still buy Dial-up here. It is the slowest internet I have dealt with in a very long time. The internet here is also a huge money pit. The New Zealand internet companies have customers pay according to how much internet they use not how fast you would like it. (No idea how I am supposed to know how more internet I use!?) Maybe Ball State spoiled me a little with our awesome, completely wireless, fast campus but I am in hell right now. And to top it off the school blocks so many damn websites I can’t even do some of my homework at times!
Aside from the crappy, rainy weather and the sluggish, 1995 internet, Wellington isn’t terrible and I try to get out and see more of the city as much as I can. I think I am just getting a bit too restless, hopefully Spring Break will help me.
