Well, this weekend was my first trip to the south island and I have to say it did not disapoint!
We left campus at 7:30 this morning and headed to the ferry. Since the ferry was a little delayed in our departure we arrived in Picton a little behind schedule. We grabbed a quick sandwich at a bakery and headed to get fitted for our wetsuits then off to kayaking!

Saw jellyfish the whole trip, even found myself surrounded while we were with the dolphins. Really scary at first but they were harmless jellyfish.
